A Manicure Has A Deeper Meaning

From the desk of Grace Lange,

For some people, the act of getting your nails done may seem like a normal thing.

It may be something you do every few weeks to make sure you look good.

It may be a part of your normal routine…

For me it means much much more.

I can remember the first time I ever got my nails done. It was the best day ever and such a treat.

I was in 7th grade and it was my birthday present from my aunt…

The next time I got my nails done I was in college, and the rest of the times were few and far between!

But today I got my nails done.

I was reflecting on how excited I was to do this, and if you ask anyone I know, they all would say how much I LOVE to have them done…

But it wasn’t until today that I realized how much it means to me to be able to do this.

It means much more than having pretty hands…

It means that I worked hard enough to be able to do something for myself.

To me, it is my way of showing myself that I am worth it.

It brings me so much joy to be able to get my nails done, and it truly changes my mood, my confidence, and it’s my little piece of excitement!

I believe that everyone should have something like this that brings them joy.

Something that they don’t get to do all the time, so it continues to be special.

What is your thing?

What is your thing that excites you and is special to you?

I recently heard someone tell me to start romanticizing every day.

This means “ being positive about the things that life has to offer, regardless of whether the circumstance is what you imagined or wanted.

Most days aren’t going to be amazing… or even great…

But it is up to us to find things to romanticize and find the excitement in every day, no matter what our circumstances are.

For me, getting my nails done is a way to romanticize my life. It is my way of bringing excitement, joy, and a special feeling to my life!

How do you find excitement everyday?

It is truly up to us to focus on the good things that life has to offer, and not focus on the negatives.

If you struggle to find joy or the little things that excite you, reach out to me! I would love to help you dive deeper and find your joy again!
